Mantra Portsea

100 metres from Four Mile Beach, Mantra Portsea is a 4-star, family-friendly beach resort in Port Douglas, set between the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest. Its grounds include a lagoon-style pool with a swim-up bar and waterslides, a hot tub, sun loungers, and sun umbrellas. The air-conditioned rooms use white linens and light wood furnishings, and each has an LCD TV and coffee-making facilities. Studios and apartments also include a kitchenette, a spa bath, and a private balcony; some ground-floor rooms open directly onto the pool deck. A continental breakfast is served each morning at Mantra Portsea, with fresh fruit, pastries, cereal, juices, and a pancake machine. A pool bar, snack bar, coffee house, and BBQ facilities are on site, along with a tennis court, billiards, fitness room, and guest laundry. Family rooms, babysitting/child services, board games/puzzles, and kids' meals are available. Free Wi-Fi, free private parking (subject to availability), a 24-hour front desk, express check-in/check-out, a tour desk, and luggage storage are provided. Shops and restaurants on Macrossan Street are about a 15-minute walk away, and a rear path leads directly to Four Mile Beach. Daintree Rainforest is roughly a one-hour drive from Mantra Portsea, and Cairns Airport is 55 km away.

Happy hour at the swim-up bar runs from 4 to 5 pm.

The property has at least four pools, including two lap pools at the rear.

Snorkelling and boat trips to the Great Barrier Reef are available nearby.

There is no lift, so upper-floor rooms are walk-up only.

The main outdoor pool is unheated and can feel cold.
